Ágnes Bardócz

Ágnes, from Hungary, works as a community organizer with the Civil College Foundation, where she combines theoretical learning with hands-on practice in community building and strengthening civil society. Her efforts aim to empower local communities and encourage active citizen participation in public life. She dedicates her free time to community-based volunteer work. She supports disadvantaged students at the local elementary school and is a core member of a recently formed local association focused on ensuring civil oversight of municipal operations and protecting residents’ rights.

Ágnes firmly believes in the power of individual action to shape perspectives and create change. She is convinced that informed, engaged citizens can bring about meaningful improvements in their communities. Her commitment to civic engagement was deepened through the Rewire incubator program by Unhack Democracy, where she learned the importance of positive narrative in mobilizing communities. This insight played a key role in the creation of the Hope Box initiative, which she co-founded. Hope Box uses storytelling and shared experiences to spark dialogue, build solidarity, and inspire constructive civic action, helping communities move from passive observation to active participation.
