Ana Raquel Fernandes is Treasurer of SHEMA. She is an Assistant Professor at Universidade Europeia, Lisbon. She coordinates the RHOME Project on Representations of Home and leads the Research Group on Other Literatures and Cultures in English at the University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies (CEAUL/ULICES). Her main research interests include contemporary British and Portuguese literature and culture, as well as women’s writing. She is the author of several books, edited volumes, and academic articles, with a particular focus on historical narratives, myth, memory, and gender. She is also a team member of the project Remembering the Past, Learning for the Future and was a member of the project DECONSTRUCT.
