
Beatrice Sgorbissa
Beatrice Sgorbissa, MD, is a medical doctor specialised in public, global, and community health. She attended medical school at the University of Trieste, Italy, and completed her four-year residency in Public & Global Health at the University of Padua, Italy. She is the Medical Coordinator for the Italian Mission of InterSOS, a global humanitarian organisation, where she leads the coordination and strategy of healthcare activities. Beatrice has experience in health management, health strategy, implementation research, and the coordination of community-based humanitarian health projects. She is particularly focused on migration health and community health promotion, and her approach is strongly rights-based, reflecting her commitment to human rights in the field of healthcare. Within MICRO*ONDE, Beatrice is an organiser, facilitator, and engagement lead, bringing this rights-based, community-health perspective directly into the labs. She helps design and run sessions that build civic trust and participation among young people, particularly migrant and marginalised communities, in Monfalcone, Italy.
