Helder Delgado

Helder Delgado is a Portuguese ESG and Sustainability Strategist working at the intersection of social and environmental sustainability, civic leadership, trust-building, and ethical transformation. With over ten years in sustainability consulting and nearly two decades in the social sector, he combines the technical rigour of a chemical engineer with expertise in human rights, social impact, and organisational change. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from ISEL and a Master’s in Social Work – Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. He currently serves as General Manager of a Lisbon-based sustainability consultancy, where he leads ESG strategy, human rights due diligence, and DEI facilitation for organisations across more than 14 sectors. His earlier career was rooted in civic and community work: coordinating social inclusion, integration, and youth-entrepreneurship projects, and training and mentoring young people and social entrepreneurs, work that continues to shape his belief that trust, transparency, and participation are the foundations of resilient communities.
