Iratxe González

Iratxe González Aspiazu is Head of the Advocacy and Global Citizenship Education area at the Spanish Committee of UNHCR. She has worked on the promotion of human rights for almost a decade, with experience ranging from the United Nations Coordination Office in Chile to supporting the institutional strengthening of feminist organisations led by rural and Indigenous women in Guatemala. She holds degrees in International Relations and Anthropology, as well as a Master’s degree in African Studies, which provide her with a strong interdisciplinary perspective on the interconnection between global structural challenges of social justice and their local impacts.
