Karine Huet
Karine Huet studied economics at the university of Louvain-La-Neuve in Belgium and communication at University of Antwerpen and has also a certificate of teacher. Her entire career has revolved around financial matters, first as a journalist with L’Echo for around ten years, and then with the weekly Trends Tendance. Drawing on her experience in explaining complex financial issues, she then turned her skills to financial education. At the FSMA, the Belgian financial markets authority, she set up the financial education programme for schools and managed the project to create an experience centre dedicated to financial education: the Wikifin Lab. Karine now coordinates the educational team at the BELvue Museum, the centre for democracy and citizenship. It was in this context that she played an active part in setting up the interactive travelling exhibition: the Mystery of Finances.
