Ledianë Durmishi

Ledianë Durmishi is a PhD candidate in climate change and sustainable development at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Her research focuses on climate adaptation strategies among farmers, rural resilience, and environmental education. In addition to her academic work, Ledianë serves as a teaching assistant at the University of Prishtina, Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary, where she supports courses related to sustainability and rural development. She brings a strong commitment to bridging academic research with practical, community-based solutions.

As a participant in the Young Climate Professionals (YCP) programme, she leads a project focused on empowering rural youth in Kosovo through climate education and civic engagement. Her work aims to strengthen local leadership and promote climate awareness in underserved areas. Ledianë combines scientific research, teaching, and grassroots action to advance climate resilience and sustainable development, particularly in vulnerable rural regions. She believes that empowering both youth and farmers is essential for building a more just, informed, and sustainable future.
