Margherita Sgorbissa
Margherita Sgorbissa (she/her) is a Southern European, queer, and working-class-born senior consultant in the social justice and impact space. With a decade of experience at the intersection of the corporate and nonprofit sectors, she specialises in strengthening civil society organisations, resourcing nonprofits, and leading change through strategic planning, impact scaling, and community-driven solutions. Her activism is rooted in grassroots community organising, beginning at 18 and evolving into a career dedicated to fostering community-led, community-first nonprofit missions. As a senior nonprofit consultant specialising in fundraising, strategy, and operations, she has worked globally with CEOs, social justice organisations, and impact leaders, advising on strategic planning, fundraising, partnerships, and organisational development. As co-founder of Commonground Initiatives, Margherita co-created MICRO*ONDE, a community organising framework built with Collettivo Onda in Monfalcone, Italy. She facilitates its labs directly, working from the ground up with young local organisers to build civic trust and participation in contexts where public institutions are absent or inaccessible.
