Ondřej is Director for Europe at Porticus. He is a professional in philanthropy and civil society empowerment, as well as an analyst, founder, and former Minister of Education. He worked with Václav Havel’s Forum 2000 Foundation, then as an adviser in the European Parliament. Later, he became a Member of Parliament and served in the Government as Minister of Education (Czech Republic). He worked as an analyst at Glopolis (Prague Global Policy Institute) & as an advisor to Open Society Foundations. In 2014-2017, he was part of Ashoka, the world’s largest network of social entrepreneurs. In 2017, he joined the global philanthropic entity Porticus as Regional Director for Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and North Africa, and since 2020 as Regional Director for Europe.
