
Ottilia Anna Maunganidze
Ottilia Anna Maunganidze is the Head of Special Projects in the Office of the Executive Director at the Institute for Security Studies (ISS). An international law and human rights expert, she works towards promoting human security in Africa by advancing peace and justice. Ottilia explores new areas of work for the ISS and informs institutional strategy. Her areas of interest include emerging security threats, international criminal justice, international human rights law, and migration trends and policy. She serves on the Strategic Advisory Board for Weathering Risk: A Climate and Security Risk and Foresight Assessment; as a WEF Global Future Council member on the Future of Good Governance; and on the International Law Association (ILA) Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution. She is on the 2023-24 Selection Committee for the King Baudouin Foundation Africa Prize. She was a member of the Positive Complementarity Committee of the ILA (2011-2022). Ottilia has a Master of Laws from UNISA on Fundamental Rights Litigation & International Human Rights Law.
