
Uxue Rastrollo
Uxue Rastrollo currently works as an Advocacy and Global Citizenship Education Officer at the Spanish Committee of UNHCR. She holds a degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Education. Her professional trajectory combines experience in migration, forced displacement, and education, both at national and international levels, working closely with refugees and people in situations of vulnerability and social exclusion. She has a strong commitment to the promotion and defence of human rights, with a particular focus on the rights of people forced to flee their countries of origin. This motivation has guided her work towards fostering more inclusive, just, and peaceful societies. Through her specialisation in education, she has developed a strong interest in the role of formal education as a space for social transformation. Her work focuses on supporting educators and future teachers in integrating global citizenship, critical thinking, and human rights approaches into their practice. She is particularly committed to strengthening civic competences and values in education, contributing to the development of more socially engaged and responsible professionals.
